The Yindjibarndi people of the Pilbara in the northwest of the country used the bird as a signal for sunrise, frightening them awake with its call. 오스트레일리아 서북부 필바라 의 인지바른디족 은 이 새를 일출의 신호로 사용했으며, 울음소리로 잠을 깼다.
